Acquisition makes Lenus Capital Partners one of the largest healthcare operators in Colombia.
Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised Lenus Capital Partners (Lenus) on the acquisition finance of 100% of the Medicadiz Hospital in Ibagué, Colombia. Gramercy Funds Management LLC structured and led the acquisition finance, with the participation of Compass Group LLC.
With this acquisition, Lenus has expanded the number of beds it owns to 1,000, making it one of the largest healthcare operators in Colombia. The acquisition is part of Lenus’ strategy to invest in the local healthcare sector through acquisitions and investments, and improve healthcare in Colombia’s intermediate cities
The core finance team comprised partner Hugo Triaca, associate Andrés Berry and attorney David Rondon in New York. Partner Avrohom Gelber and law clerk Caroline Koo advised on tax aspects and associate Milica Pavlovic provided ERISA advice.
